Turn up your screen brightness so the kiosk can read your barcode.
Other Possible Fixes:
Turn off the kiosk for 30 seconds and power back up.
Make sure there are no updates in your SyncScan.Cloud dashboard. If there are updates, go ahead and update the kiosk.
